About Us

Our Story

Excel Housing Solutions, a Registered Social Landlord founded in 2013 in Liverpool, focuses on recruiting local staff and contractors to support community growth. Initially delivering supported accommodation in Merseyside, the organisation has expanded its services throughout the North West.

The organisation is dedicated to providing safe and quality housing and support services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness or requiring additional support. Excel Housing Solutions emphasises collaboration with local agencies and stakeholders to ensure that tenants receive tailored assistance and opportunities for independent living.

Mission and Values

Excel Housing Solutions recognises the strengths and positive values inherent in every individual. Our staff are committed to fostering self-belief among clients and supporting them in realising and achieving their full potential.

We dedicate ourselves to delivering high-quality support services through our bespoke system, which is psychologically tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. We consistently review and refine our approaches to ensure each client is supported in reaching their desired outcomes.

Our accommodation is commissioned and designed according to the core principles of the Psychologically Informed Environment Framework. Where legacy properties do not meet these standards, refurbishments are undertaken or replacement accommodations are sourced.

Excel Housing Solutions is an inclusive organisation that upholds a “Fair Access, Fair Exit” policy. We address barriers and challenges using a Trauma Informed Model for access and apply a Restorative Justice approach to facilitate fair transitions upon exit.

As psychologically informed environments, our services ensure that all aspects of delivery—from the physical spaces to staff interactions—are designed to recognise the impact of psychological trauma and complex life experiences. Our approach is rooted in trauma-informed, person-centred care, guaranteeing that support is individually tailored with compassion, dignity, and respect for each individual’s journey. Staff receive ongoing training in understanding trauma responses, attachment, and the importance of emotional safety, enabling them to build trust and foster resilience.

In addition to continuous support, our services are strengthened by specialist resettlement teams and positive engagement coordinators, who help individuals transition successfully and encourage active participation. We are committed to supporting people with multiple unmet needs, including challenges related to mental health, substance misuse, and offending behaviour. Our dedication to psychologically and trauma-informed care ensures that every person is supported sensitively and holistically as they move toward independence and well-being.
